The weekend started off with Dinamo and Lagers playing for the 4th semifinals spot in the Premier Division. The teams faced off in a shortened match of two 25 minute halves. Lagers defeated Dinamo 3-1, thanks in part to this goal from Sean Akamine.

With a short rest between matches, Lagers took to the field once more to compete in the semifinals versus the Premier Division’s #1 seed, Three Lions. Heading into the playoffs Three Lions’ record was 8-2-0 compared to Lagers’ 4-5-0. Despite the numbers, Lagers proved themselves a strong competitor for the Lions squad, creating an upset with a 3-2 win to advance to the finals where they will face Deportivo Italia who overtook Seattle Americans 4-1.

The First Division saw some upsets of their own–most notably the ousting of Westside United. Westside United entered the playoffs with a 9-0-1 record and 29 point goal differential, but they would suffer their first defeat when it mattered most, falling to Seattle East 2-1 in the semifinals. Seattle East will battle Nomads for the title after Nomads advanced over Deportivo Italia – Series B with a 2-1 victory.

In the final week of regular-season games, Deportivo Italia – Series B and Esperanza FC were looking to secure the final playoff spot in the First Division, joining Westside United, Nomads and Seattle East. While Esperanza FC took a loss to Nomads, Deportivo Italia topped Seattle East to earn their playoff berth.

In the Premier Division Three Lions took the 1st place spot heading into playoffs despite taking a loss against Lagers. Wins for Seattle Americans and Deportivo Italia rounded out the top three. Unable to make up a game in this final week of regular-season game play, Lagers and Dinamo will face off on December 2nd in a shortened match of two 25 minute halves to see who will take the 4th playoff spot. That same day, the winning team will face division leaders Three Lions in the semifinals.

With just one week remaining in regular-season play, the playoff picture is beginning to take shape in both the Premier and First Divisions.

In the Premier DivisionThree Lions and Deportivo Italia are both guaranteed a playoff spot, while the 3rd and 4th spot remain up for grabs.

In the First Division, Westside United remains firmly at the top of the bracket and a Nomads win this week secured them a playoff berth. A tight race for the remaining spots will make for an exciting final week of play.

With two weeks left before playoffs it is still unclear who will advance in both the Premier & First Divisions.

Westside United is guaranteed a first-place finish in the First Division, but Deportivo Italia-B, Nomads and Seattle East are in a three-way tie for 2nd place with Esperanza FC and VN United nipping at their heels.

In the Premier Division, Three Lions took their first loss of the season, falling to second-place team Deportivo Italia. And, with four teams within 3 points of one another, the 3rd and 4th slot in the playoffs is up for grabs.
