STEM CLASSES
In 2019, STEM was added to the Starfire Academy to enhance our community support further and build on our vision of creating a thriving community that ensures equitable opportunities and access for all!
The Starfire STEM Academy aims to provide equitable opportunities and access to STEM learning that inspire and empower participants to develop STEM-enabled knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to thrive in a rapidly changing society. This inclusive program fosters a sense of belonging and enables all youth to participate meaningfully and feel valued for who they are.
Our Winter 2026 season will begin January 6, 2026. In this season we will explore the world of Zoology, learning about different animals each week and what makes them each so interesting! Registration opens November 17th. Priority registration opens November 11th.

Our pre-K and Kindergarten STEM class is designed to foster curiosity and give a basic introduction to STEM concepts to students preparing for or just starting their educational journey. Topics and activities will change week to week as we rotate through science, technology, engineering, and math.
Days / Availability:
Thursdays or Fridays, beginning Thursday, January 8th.

This winter our participants will explore the world of animals in our Zoology themed class. Students in grades 1–6 will dive into fascinating topics like animal habitats, unique animal traits, and explore some of the most beloved animals across the globe.
