STEM CLASSES
In 2019, STEM was added to the Starfire Academy to enhance our community support further and build on our vision of creating a thriving community that ensures equitable opportunities and access for all!
The Starfire STEM Academy aims to provide equitable opportunities and access to STEM learning that inspire and empower participants to develop STEM-enabled knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to thrive in a rapidly changing society. This inclusive program fosters a sense of belonging and enables all youth to participate meaningfully and feel valued for who they are.
In preparation and excitement for the World Cup coming to Seattle in summer of 2026, our Spring STEM theme will be STEM in Soccer! We will explore how technology has changed the game, how sports science can help make better athletes, how the engineering of a stadium can make or break the fan experience, and much more.
Registration for Spring season is open now!
Our Spring 2026 season will begin April 7th and run for 10 weeks.
Please note: There is no summer STEM season, we run week-long summer camps from the end of June to the beginning of August. Fall season will begin in early September.
Our pre-K and Kindergarten STEM class is designed to foster curiosity and give a basic introduction to STEM concepts to students preparing for or just starting their educational journey. Topics and activities will change week to week as we rotate through science, technology, engineering, and math.
Days / Availability:
Thursdays or Fridays at 4:30pm, beginning April 9th.

45-minute classes
